i just made these pictures of our lamps with a wire shade. I love these because they are pretty and they discreetly enhance the style of the decor they are put in. they are also great with a colored bulb!

vintage lighting DIY

yesterday we went to my favourite japanese restaurant. i loved the food as always but also the new lighting they set up: they used red vintage vinyl records racks (find them here) as lamp shades and hung very vintage looking bulbs in the kitchen corner.

umbrellas

i love the lighting made of vintage looking umbrellas of this lovely Paraplü shop, a shop dedicated to kids (shoes, clothes and gifts). an idea to steal! today was a great day strolling around and having a snack at Sigismondo yum!

vintage bar Kohlen Quelle

this is one of the first place where we went when we arrived in Berlin and we are still going there regularly, because we love the place, the people and the food. it is named the Kohlen Quelle. it is furnished with sofas, chairs, lighting and tables of the former GDR. i especially love the yellow and purple square mural lamps!

con calma

finally. here is a sunday like i like them! with coffee, blue sky, sun and con calma.

con calma is a lovely coffee, italian pastries and frozen yoghurt place at arnimplatz in prenzlauer berg. not only they serve [real] coffee with a warm italian accent, but the decor is all vintage with Berlin typical kidney bean tables, chairs and lighting.

Restoring

This is a vintage lampshade I bought last week because i loved it's romantic and grandma's look.

I restored it this morning with some pastel pink gingham and funny doted tulle.  I like it's new look and i think i'm going to do this more often!
