week end findings

last week end gave me a fortaste of winter and holiday season as i found a big bunch of traditional german nutckrackers and incence burners, and also a lot of christmas ornaments. they all be soon in the shop so check out our 'holiday season' section!

here are some vintage dolls from the former GDR: babies dressed like rabbits, mouses, bears... so cute!

so here is a little game:
this is a little vintage porcelain item with a lovely flower pattern. it is about 3" (8cm) diameter and 3" (8cm) high. it is stamped 'GDR' (former East Germany) on the bottom.

vintage bar Kohlen Quelle

this is one of the first place where we went when we arrived in Berlin and we are still going there regularly, because we love the place, the people and the food. it is named the Kohlen Quelle. it is furnished with sofas, chairs, lighting and tables of the former GDR. i especially love the yellow and purple square mural lamps!

con calma

finally. here is a sunday like i like them! with coffee, blue sky, sun and con calma.

con calma is a lovely coffee, italian pastries and frozen yoghurt place at arnimplatz in prenzlauer berg. not only they serve [real] coffee with a warm italian accent, but the decor is all vintage with Berlin typical kidney bean tables, chairs and lighting.
