here's the little cupboard i recently found at an antiquarian. it is made of metal and glass, it is actually a vintage consulting room's piece of furniture. it would look so nice in my studio!

we went for coffee at Niesen, this family restaurant we love. by the way it also has a room for people without kids :). on the way, we saw this lovely pin-up. doesn't she look great in her natural frame? she will probably be soon hidden when it grows..

we have been spending a whole family vacation week. we spent lots of time enjoying Niesen, a lovely family restaurant, all vintage furnished, and also parks and ice creams. we will be back to work on monday.

Café Centrale

This is a little café close to where we live. It once was called 'Café Centrale' and for us it still is. It changed a few time of owner, and each time it was redecorated. It is a lot more sophisticated than how it used to be when we arrived in Berlin, but we quite like it: vintage leather coach and armchairs, vintage paper on the wall, vintage typicall Berlin runiture outside.

Week end Findings: Furniture

 

So here are the finds of the beginning of the week: a doll house's furniture! It was a lot of fun for me to take the pictures, i also made the little pillows with some vintage fabrics i had at home.

Everything is in such a great condition, it is also such an adorable work with lots of details: did you notice the drawers in the kitchen's dresser, the wood in the fireplace and the books on the bookshelf?

The all set is from the 1950 made in GRD and will be soon in the shop! Stay tuned!!!

Berlin is vintage ! Café n°1

There is really a huge trend around vintage in Berlin, especially in cafés and bars. Here is our first selection of a nice little family café close to the very famous Mauerpark, the biggest flee market of Berlin. We'll have the chance to talk about this one soon.

Kauf Dich Glücklich is a comfy place to have a latte macchiato with one of their VERY famous waffles. Indeed, they are so famous that sometimes there is a crazy 45 minutes line !

But as you can see on the picture, we prefere to go there in a quieter moment.

All the funiture and decoration is vintage, and you can even buy some of it inside. Lamps, sofas, chairs, even some antique black and wite family pictures hanging in the wall !
