Antique 19th Century French Louis XV Style Sofa Loveseat

here is a very pretty and elegant sofa middle part of the 19th century style made of solid beech with a great antique patina, adorably adorned with a floral crest standing upon the seatback and seat flanked by padded armrests and supported by graceful cabriole legs. This item is called a Louis XV piece, also called Roccoco style or Pompadour style (from the Marquess de Pompadour).

actually this game was just an excuse to talk about the lovely work of a talented girl from Brooklyn named Tuesday Bassen :) she makes the cutest version of my vintage ring holder!

so here is a little game:
this is a little vintage porcelain item with a lovely flower pattern. it is about 3" (8cm) diameter and 3" (8cm) high. it is stamped 'GDR' (former East Germany) on the bottom.

delicatessen

we went back to Sigismondo. it is a lovely place where you can have coffee and eat (italian), it is also a deli where you can buy all sorts of italian products.

'delicatessen' is actually a german word used in english, and also a great film from french directors Marc Caro and Jean-Pierre Jeunet, who made the worldwide famous Amelie from Montmartre.

here's the little cupboard i recently found at an antiquarian. it is made of metal and glass, it is actually a vintage consulting room's piece of furniture. it would look so nice in my studio!

i love how yoga is pictured in this japanese magazine. with your tie, with your dog, with your baby it is fun to do yoga!

we went for coffee at Niesen, this family restaurant we love. by the way it also has a room for people without kids :). on the way, we saw this lovely pin-up. doesn't she look great in her natural frame? she will probably be soon hidden when it grows..
