when you look at some beautiful and uncluttered patterns and forms, you realise they are frequently inspired by nature. i think that's why some objects have such a resonance on us and make us feel so peaceful and comfortable.

vintage lighting DIY

yesterday we went to my favourite japanese restaurant. i loved the food as always but also the new lighting they set up: they used red vintage vinyl records racks (find them here) as lamp shades and hung very vintage looking bulbs in the kitchen corner.
