it snowed!

it snowed quite a lot last night! everyone went out quick and sled :) Mauerpark is the perfect spot. so much fun!

fleet in bottles

i am so fond of these little ships in a bottle! they are so precious and decorative and they make the most original gift! i found a whole fleet last week end and some are already available in the shop, check them out!

week end findings

i didn't write here for a long time as we spent some time away from Berlin. but being back to Berlin i could not wait and go treasure hunting! so here is what i found: a glass and metal greenhouse terrarium, a ceramic baby seal, 4 little Ivan Lackovic Croata paintings, a wooden toadstool incense burner, a splendid collection of ships in bottles, 2 ceramic blue and white polka dots cups, a wooden collection display in the shape of a tree.

week end findings

some great findings this week end: 2 Hutschenreuther porcelain cups and creamer, a side table made of chrome and smoked glass, a huge teak bowl, a sugar bowl with a blue flower pattern.
today was a great sunny and cold day like i love them

preparing the holiday season

lately i've been preparing the holiday season mostly: it took a lot of time taking lots of pictures and putting items online. soon i'll start thinking finding presents too!

25th anniversary

25 years ago the Berlin wall was about to fall! it was on november the 9th. to celebrate 7.000 light air balloons were placed to create a wall of light were the wall was standing. tomorrow is the d-day and the air balloons will be released in the sky all at the same time as a symbol of  freedom.

furniture

this mid century german wooden sewing fold out box stand on wheels is the new addition to our smal furniture section. i also just realized that sunset is now at 4:45 pm!

week end findings

here are the findings of last week end: lots of vintage christmas ornaments, a rosenthal pitcher and plate with daisies, 6 rosenthal studio linie expresso cups, 2 german fat lava vases, a cute wooden candle holder.

the do concert in berlin

last night we saw the french-finnish group 'the do' (pronounce the letter 'o' like in the word 'so'). it was in heimathafen in berlin neuköln, a lovely intimate place to make a concert. it was amazing!

camera strap

i got mail today from Odessa in Ukaine! it is my new camera strap that i purchased from this shop. it is gorgeous: made of brown leather, very soft and nice to wear! i love it
